Wynsors World of Shoes has chosen Whittington Hub Youth Club as one of the deserving UK charities to receive a donation of £3,600.
After recognising the heart-warming and tireless community work carried out by charities all over the country, we wanted to give something back! We decided to launch a charity programme to reward local community groups and charities for all of their efforts.
The significant sum has been collected from 5p carrier bag sales across Wynsors’ 44 stores nationwide.
The outstanding work of this particular charity stood out to us, as they give opportunities to disadvantaged young people in Chesterfield through weekly sessions supported by volunteers.
Vicki Owen, from the Whittington Hub Youth club, said: “The volunteers at the youth club are so dedicated in trying to create an environment where local children can relax and feel safe.
“We’d like to thank Wynsors for the amazing donation that will go towards helping organise a trip for the club’s members to visit a theme park. The majority of our members don’t have the opportunity to go away during the school holiday due to a number of reasons, and we can’t wait to announce the news and start planning the trip.”
Matthew Morris, store manager at Wynsors Chesterfield, said: “We are thrilled that Whittington Hub Youth Club have been chosen to receive the donation. They do such wonderful work within the local community, and we hope that the volunteers and members enjoy a much-needed trip away during the summer holiday.”
From all of us at Wynsors World of Shoes, we’d like to thank Whittington Hub Youth Club for reaching out and we hope you enjoy a wonderful and well-deserved summer trip!
