We are extremely proud and excited to announce that we will be partnering with the exceptionally hard-working and pioneering charity, Cancer Research UK. We will be officially launching our two-year partnership on World Cancer Day on 4th February 2017 – an international day of awareness and action against cancer.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity, dedicated to saving lives through research, with a vision to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. They rely solely on public funding and donations and have been heavily involved in cancer treatments that have seen survival rates in the UK double over the last 40 years.
At Wynsors, we pride ourselves on helping to raise as much money as possible for wonderful charities like Cancer Research UK. Over the years, we’ve held regular store events, sponsored challenges, and donated thousands of pounds to support charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support and the NSPCC. We really look forward to doing the same for Cancer Research UK and would like to encourage everyone to get involved in our upcoming events.
Almost all of us can say we know someone or have been personally affected by the devastating effects of cancer. The funds we raise over the next two years will go towards research into beating over 200 different types of the disease. We’re confident that our fundraising efforts will help the charity’s pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer to help save millions of lives now, and in the future.
