  1. Wow, I really don’t know where to begin with this. I’ll start with saying a massive thank you to every one that voted for Sapphire-(you have made one little girl very happy!) THANK YOU to all our Family and Friends, Neighbours and indeed the General Public…without all of you, this wouldn’t have been possible. I want to thank Charleen Morris-(Australian artist) and every body at Shoe Healer on Scott Lane, Tracey’s Flowers and Selena’s hair boutique-(both at Balby) for all your support. Plus a big hug to Miss Passant at Copley Junior School-as it was Sapphires art teacher that put Sapphire in the competition to begin with…What a gem you are! To be honest with you all, the list is absolutely endless who I want to show my gratitude to. As for Sapphire let’s be fair, we are all proud of our children no matter what they do…all our kids are priceless to us for a million and one different reasons, or just for simply ‘being them!’ So it goes without saying just how over the moon, Ian and I are with our daughters success within this competition! As for all the other finalists, they were all brilliant. Like I commented beforehand…all 8 of them have done wonderful to get to where they have done. So to me the word ‘fantastic’ doesn’t do them enough justice. This is definitely something to look back on in the future, and be 100% proud of. Just the taking part is huge. In fact I would say it’s the taking part that is the significant thing here. So congratulations to all the kids that spent their time doing their designs! As I’m sure most of you are aware, the Play Station Sapphire has won, will be donated to the Children’s Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary….as soon as it arrives from Kickers/Wynsors, Sapphire will be ecstatic to go there and hand it over. So in short a lot of children are going to be smiling from all of this…and that is down to YOU!!! For all who know me, you know that I could rabbit on for England ha,ha,ha. So I’ll leave you here with again, a very warm thank you from myself, Ian and of course Sapphire. xxx

  2. Ps, it’s not that long ago that I was looking through an old photo album, and in one of the pictures, there’s me wearing my Red Kicker Boots. When I was 14 I would never have guessed back then, that 20 years later my own daughter would design a pair of her own, and have Kickers make them for her! So hey, I tell you what…it isn’t just ‘one LITTLE girl you’ve made happy’, you have also made ‘one BIG girl very happy too’. So thanks again. Xxx

  3. Well done to all 8 finalists and especially my daughter Jess Boff who I am extremely proud of. It is such a shame that the results are based on how many friends or contacts you have, rather than customers views. If voting had to have taken place in Wynsors shops, the result would have been a true reflection of customers choice.
