Alice Spake - Annie Writes BeautyCanyou tell us a bit about yourself?

I’m a beauty/lifestyle blogger based in Southampton with an obsession with lipsticks, penguins, coffee and shoes. In ‘real life’ I’m a pharmacy dispenser.

Can you tell us a bit about your blog?

Annie Writes Beauty is two years old and centres around beauty mostly. I like to throw in a food review, fashion post or chatty post every now and then too, to change it up.

What made you start your blog?

I needed a new hobby, it was winter, I missed writing and after toying with the idea for a few months I finally sat down and created my blog. I don’t remember what I did before it now.

How many pairsof shoes would you say you own?

Probably between 20-30. Shoes for every occasion!

What were the last shoes you wore, and why did you wear them?

Brown leather, zip-front heeled boots. It’s pretty cold and these keep my feet so warm, plus they look good.

What was your last shoe purchase, and what made you buy them?

I bought burgundy Chelsea boots. I already owned the grey pair and love them so much I bought them in another colour.

What are your oldest shoes, and why have you had them for so long?

A pair of Pepe Jean mules. I’ve always kept them because the insole is embroidered and just beautiful.

Have you ever bought the same pair of shoes again and why?

Yes, usually if I love them and I need a backup just in case. I also buy the same shoes in multiple colours.

I’d love for pretty, ballet pumps to be a thing again. I use to have a gorgeous dainty pair, which I loved.

How do you style your favourite shoes?

With cropped jeans and a leather bag, I’m all about accessories.

If you could pick any pair of shoes from Wynsors, what would they be and why?

Tilly
Tilly: A classic chelsea boot with a block heel.
Mila
Mila: Block heeled ankle boot with cut out detail.

Either the Tilly Chelsea boots or the Mila ankle boots. They’re both classic styles that would work with most outfits.

What is your top shoe fashion tip that doesn’t break the bank?

Always use protective spray on suede! I’d rather pay for the spray then a new pair of boots.
