Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

My name is Emma Iannarilli, I’m 41 and I live in Staffordshire. I’ve been blogging since 2010, before this I was a deputy head teacher at a Walsall Primary School. I’m married and have a little boy, Joe Luca, who is 6.

Can you tell us a bit about your blog?

Fashion-Mommy is a fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog that also features entertainment, celebrities and lots of shopping. I like to think of it like an online magazine featuring a little bit of everything.

What made you start Fashion Mommy?

I had a premature baby and then suffered from post-natal depression and had a breakdown. I decided to make a change to my life and move away from teaching, devoting my time to being Joe’s mom. I started Fashion-Mommy as a hobby, but then it took off and I’ve never looked back.

How many pairs of shoes would you say you own?

Probably about 150 pairs – I’m a total shoe addict, Carrie Bradshaw has nothing on me. They are literally all over the house and I find it really hard to part with them.

What were the last shoes you wore, and why did you wear them?

Leather sandals that I wore this morning – they have a 1970s feel to them and I love them.

What are your oldest shoes, and why have you had them for so long?

I have a pair of black, Bertie T-bar shoes that look like something from Strictly Come Dancing. I got them 10 years ago and still wear them – they are such a cute, vintage style design.

Have you ever bought the same pair of shoes again and why?

Not really – I think variety is the spice of life.

What shoe trends are your children currently in love with?

Joe is just trainer obsessed at the moment – he never seems to wear anything else. He loves HyperVenom designs like the premier league footballers.

Are there any footwear trends you think will be big over the next year?

Anything 70s related will still be a big story – think chunky heels, wooden clog styles, anything that would look good with flares. The 70s influence isn’t going away.

How do you style your favourite shoes?

I love bright coloured shoes with a little black dress. My favourite shoes are a pair of glittery Westwood Melissa’s that I always style with something glamorous – a lace dress or evening attire.

If you could pick any pair of shoes from Wynsors, what would they be and why?

I love Wynsors Audra – they have a real designer feel to them with the classic black style and the big buckle. They are such an amazing bargain for just £16.

What is your top shoe fashion tip that doesn’t break the bank?

Store them carefully so that the shoes keep their shape and style. You can get some great plastic shoe boxes that can help you organise your favourites easily.

Lastly, if you were a shoe, what kind of shoe would you be?

A Mary Jane – my absolute fave style of shoe…or maybe those amazing blue Manolos from Sex in the City…
