Can you tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi I’m Daniela from A Material Girl. I work full time at an investment company and in my spare time I enjoy blogging, going the gym and watching films. I have a weakness for blushers and orange chocolate treats!

Can you tell us a bit about your blog?

My blog was started two years ago after reading so many of my favourite blogs for hours each week. I’ve always enjoyed writing and one night after a few glasses of wine I set up a blogger account and the rest is history! I primarily blog about beauty and fashion but from time to time I post about food and travel to shake it up!

How many pairs of shoes would you say you own?

I was dreading this question, surely 38 pairs of shoes is acceptable?!

What were the last shoes you wore, and why did you wear them?

The last pair of shoes I wore (excluding my slippers) was my running trainers earlier today. The sun was shining so thought it would be a good idea to go for a quick jog and get a dose of vitamin D.

What was your last shoe purchase, and what made you buy them?

The last pair of shoes I purchased was a pair of black leather loafers for work. Very boring, but very much needed, working in an office.

What are your oldest shoes, and why have you had them for so long?

Aside from my wedding shoes which I can’t bear to throw out, my oldest pair of shoes are about 8 years old. They are a real colour heel with a small platform at the front and a real chiffon flower. I bought them for my 21st Birthday so they have some great memories attached to them.

Have you ever bought the same pair of shoes again and why?

The only shoes I’ve ever repurchased are my reliable Converse. Over the years as my style has evolved I always found Converse shoes never went out of style. Timeless and comfy shoes that go with most of my wardrobe- what’s not to love?!

Are there any footwear trends you think will be big over the next year?

At the moment there are tonnes of gladiator and lace up shoes available for the summer. I predict the trend will continue into the next season and we’ll be seeing lace up boots, possibly in animal/reptile print.

How do you style your favourite shoes?

My favourite shoes are my leopard print platforms that have an ankle strap, high platform and peep toe. They are the ultimate party shoe! I wear them with my LBDs for a night out or a skinny pair of jeans and a cami vest for a more dressed down look.

If you could pick any pair of shoes from Wynsors, what would they be and why?

Tina

The pair I picked immediately was the ‘Tina’ loafers. These look super trendy and comfy. They would be perfect for walking around on my trip to Lisbon later in the year and as they are holographic would be versatile with any casual outfits I pack.

What is your top shoe fashion tip that doesn’t break the bank?

Nothing ruins a fierce look more than worn out shoes. Maintaining heel caps and asking a cobbler for a quick shoe buff to remove any scuff marks doesn’t cost the earth.

Lastly, if you were a shoe, what kind of shoe would you be?

Although my husband joked I would be a tough boot, I would go for a ballet pump!
