Wynsors World of Shoes has donated a pair of running shoes to a Prescot runner who aims to raise £1,350 for a children’s charity.
Andrew Coleman, 23, will be taking part in the London Marathon to raise money for the National Blind Children’s Charity.
Andrew, who is registered blind, went to his local Wynsors store, in Knotty Ash, to choose some complimentary trainers in preparation for the race.
As well as running, singer Andrew plays football for Liverpool FC disability team and has visited Switzerland four times to help out at a disability football training camp for young people.
Wynsors managing director Mark Richardson says: “We’re really pleased to be able to help Andrew with his fantastic fundraising efforts – the great work he does for charity is an inspiration to us all. We wish him the very best of luck in the marathon!”
Wynsors has supported the Coleman family in a number of charitable projects – over the last few years, the company has supplied work boots for Andrew’s father, Jim, to carry out regular aid work in Belarus.
