Well done to a very brave Michelle Wilkinson, from our Wynsors Bacup store, who has raised £500 for charity by being catapulted into the air!
Michelle, who works at Wynsors World of Shoes on Newchurch Road, took part in a reverse bungee jump (Which for those of you who don’t know is where you are fired in to the sky in a big steel cage held by two big bungee ropes, as opposed to being dropped from a great height on one big bungee rope) with her sister at Hollywood Park, Burnley, to raise money for a new patient treatment centre at Christie’s Hospital in Manchester. You can read about the new treatment centre at the hospital and help this very worthy cause too by visiting Christie’s website http://www.christies.org
Michelle said: “I was really looking forward to it and it’s great to raise money for a good cause - it’s the second time I’ve done a reverse bungee so I wasn’t nervous, just excited!”
Wynsors Managing Director Mark Richardson said: “Michelle did a fantastic job and we have donated £50 to help with her fundraising for this deserving cause – well done from everyone at Wynsors!”
