The Warrington Road store will open for business on Thursday 6th May at the earlier time of 7am, with part of the shop sectioned off for Penketh people to place their vote.
The store will provide an unconventional, relaxed environment for voting, as a more unusual location than the traditional venues of schools, libraries, churches, community centres and mobile units – as well as giving voters the chance to browse the latest footwear offers after voting.
Wynsors’ managing director Mark Richardson said: “We’re pleased to be able to offer part of our Penketh store as a polling station. We all lead busy lives so we hope it will appeal to local residents to pick up a few footwear bargains for the family while they’re out to vote in the election.”
Wynsors will be open from 7am until 10pm for members of the public to vote in the general election, and the store will trade throughout these hours.
