Thousands raised in charity climb

Nimble colleagues from a Manchester firm raised more £5,600 on a steep charity challenge.

More than 20 workers from Salford-based MCR climbed Mount Snowdon in aid of The Prince’s Trust. Money was raised through sponsorship from colleagues, friends, family and local businesses.

Wynsors World of Shoes, which has a store on Bolton Road, Swinton, supplied hiking boots to several team members to support their challenge.

Robbie Bamping, from Salford, said: “I’d never done anything like it before, but it was a fantastic experience and we’re overwhelmed with the support we received. We managed to reach and surpass our fundraising targets!” Jackie Worrall, Deputy Manager of Wynsors’ Swinton store said: “A huge congratulations to Robbie and his friends on their charity challenge!”
