Easter antics at Whitley Road Wynsors

Our Whitley Road store had an action-packed weekend of springtastic Easter charity antics and managed to raise over £400 for a local charity in the process.

Staff took part in fundraising fun on Good Friday, 22 April and Easter Saturday, 23 April in aid of Safe Homes and Kindness (SHAK) Dog Rescue Centre in Bedlington, Northumberland.

Activities included a name the bunny contest, Easter egg hunt around the store and a game to guess how many sweets are in the jar.

There was also face painting and a cupcake stall for shoppers to tuck into sweet treats.

SHAK relies on donations and volunteers to create a safe home for dogs in need, especially those near the end of their lives.

Store manager Della Lawcock said: “Our Easter Extravaganza was great fun! We chose to donate the money raised to SHAK because it’s a small charity and they really need help to continue the fantastic work they do. We hope our contribution will allow them to carry on providing much-needed love and attention to the dogs in their care.”
